If you've been planning your perfect wedding day, you know how overwhelming it can be to choose the entrees, decor, napkins, flowers, and so many other little choices you have to make with your vendors. But when it comes to entertainment, you always seem to just book a DJ and move on, without thinking about the ways your entertainment company can add to your big day and take a few things off your plate. Plus, when you book additional elements through one company, you will end up saving money - which helps, cause we always end up over budget somehow!
Today we're going to talk about a few add-ons that your entertainment company should have available to you! Adding these elements can really upgrade your guests experience, and bring even more fun into your wedding day. From interactive photo booths, to lighting upgrades and special effects, there's always something you're gonna want to add-on!
1. Photo Booths

Photo booths are a super fun way for your guests to have an interactive experience at your wedding, while also getting a fun souvenir to remember your special day! You can typically choose between a digital booth or a print booth, and sometimes both. There are also 360° booths that can take videos which can be shared digitally.
Most companies will offer you a backdrop choice, and sometimes you can even add on an upgraded backdrop, or a custom backdrop! Another option for an elevated backdrop would be to rent a vintage sofa or other seating for a unique photo op. It's also worthwhile to ask your florist if they can add some floral arrangements to the scene to really pull everything together!
Lastly, if you have a print booth, you're gonna want a scrapbook! This is THE BEST way to look back on your photos from the night, and laugh remembering how wasted all your friends got. You can also customize the front of your scrapbook to make the perfect coffee table book. Plus, after your big day, you can sit down to read all the notes your friends and family left for you in the scrapbook. What's not to love about that?!
BONUS TIP - make sure your photo booth company has a photo booth attendant at the booth all night long! This really helps to keep the lines moving, and the photos always come out much better when you have someone there to help position you in the best spot for the photos!
2. Uplighting

For those that don't know, many DJ and entertainment companies offer uplighting as an add-on! So many venues will benefit from adding uplighting around the reception area, as it will add a beautiful warm glow to the whole space. This lighting will be much more welcoming and inviting than overhead lighting, which is perfect for setting the tone of the evening!
After dinner has ended and the dance floor has opened up, you can even have your DJ switch the lighting to intelligent dance lights - AKA colorful changing lights! You're gonna need this for optimal dance floor vibes - trust me! Throw in some LED light sticks and your dance floor won't be empty all night, guaranteed.
3. TV Monitors

We all love seeing baby photos of you & your spouse sprinkled around your venue, but there's definitely a better way to share those photos and even videos! Add-on TV monitors to display your favorite photos & videos of you both through the years. This is also a great way to display any video testimonials from loved ones who couldn't make it to your day. If you aren't into displaying baby photos, you can also share photos and videos of you & your other half after you met!
Another great way to use this add-on is to display a custom monogram, either a photo or a video monogram will work! This is a great alternative to using a projected monogram - while that is a great option, if your venue has textured walls it may distort your monogram, so it may work best for you to display your monogram on a TV screen. If you have an animated monogram, it will really pop on a big screen!
Those were just some of the options you may have available to you, but there are always so many cool options out there! Ask your vendors what add-ons they offer, and open your mind to the possibilities - this is your one big day, so make it special!
